Standing With Dominic: My Fight Against Cancer

Hi, I’m Dominic, and I’m asking for your help as I face the hardest fight of my life.

Recently, I was diagnosed with an 8.5 cm cancerous mass in the center of my chest. In what feels like the blink of an eye, the medical bills have started piling up faster than I ever could have imagined. Every test, scan, and appointment brings another overwhelming expense. I truly hate having to ask for help, and I tried to handle everything on my own for as long as I could, but my situation has changed rapidly.

A Sudden and Urgent Turn

Just recently, I was admitted to the ER with severe chest pain. Imaging revealed that the mass has grown, which means we no longer have time to wait. Because of this, I am scheduled for emergency surgery this week to remove as much of the mass as possible.

The Road Ahead

This surgery is just the first major hurdle. Afterward, I expect to be out of work and unable to function normally for 6 to 8 weeks before I can even begin my chemotherapy treatments. During this critical time, I need to focus my energy on recovering physically, but the stress of mounting medical debt and everyday financial pressure is incredibly heavy.
